i want to get a lot of people to take it!

i don't belong to anything yet. i'm fairly new in the area. im a student at utsa, just started.

thanks. i had a hard time anticipating more varied answers. it would've worked better, i'm sure, if i'd have given it more thought. ;) the results are still giving a pretty decent idea, though!

i pretty much agree with all of your answers... especially regarding bush, iraq, and "terrorism". what do you think about peak oil?

I am interested in a lot: the Patriot Act, the war, the newly nominated Chief Justice, Hurricane Katrina reactions... anything and everything, really. I am a Liberal who lives like a conservative (best way I can describe myself).

I would love for this to be a venue where we can discuss all the crap that goes on around us, acknowledge it's there for a change, and then actually do something about it! It's hard to get everyone to speak out thanks to the Patriot Act. Everyone feels like one lonely helpless voice and fears being branded a terrorist if they actually speak out. Screw it! I gives a damn if I get fired. My son needs a better place to live and we're responsible for our government. I'm not un-patriotic just because I don't agree with something.

how do you mean you live like a conservative? i'm sort of fascinated by that statement.

i am very very interested in getting something actually happening in san antonio, i mean, i know here and there there are groups but it is so hard to compile any information! i would love to have a link section on the nfo page to local organization, you know?

Well... I used to be extremely Christian, but then I looked into it more and kinda gave up on the Jesus myth. However, I still hold on to a lot of my conservative ideals. Example: I, myself, would not get an abortion, but I think it is wrong to completely disallow someone from having one (during the first 12 weeks). I don't find the 10 commandments particularly offensive, but I see why someone else would want them removed from the premesis. I think it's retarded to be governed by religious ideals... "because the Bible says..." should never be evidence to which a decision is made within the government. I don't do drugs. I don't get drunk (eh... sometimes). I don't look at porn. But, I don't care if others do. I have very high expectations of marriage (which I think can be shared by any 2 people). I was the hardcore Christian so I know both sides of every argument. I was that girl in "Saved", but not as bitchy... that movie cracks me up because it brings back so many memories. I can't believe I was ever that blind. Anyways, I know what works for me and I know that it's not necessarily what works for everyone else. I now have the ability to see both sides and allow people to make their own decisions. I wish our government could do the same. Make sense?
